Biography

Niels Ravnkilde was a Danish composer of the 19th century who made significant contributions to Scandinavian musical traditions. His compositions reflected the Romantic era's artistic sensibilities and helped establish Denmark's presence in European classical music.

Ravnkilde spent much of his later life in Rome, where he remained active in musical circles until his death in 1890. He was buried in the Protestant Cemetery in Rome, a final resting place that reflected his international career and the cosmopolitan nature of 19th-century artistic life.
