Nikolai Demert (1835–1876) was a Russian writer whose literary endeavors contributed to the rich cultural landscape of 19th-century Russia. His works reflected the intellectual and artistic currents of his era.

Demert's contributions to Russian letters were recognized, and he was laid to rest at Vagankovo Cemetery, a distinguished burial ground that honored many of Russia's cultural figures.
