Biography

Nikolai Leonidovich Stepanov (1902–1972) was a literary critic whose analytical insights and scholarly contributions advanced the understanding and appreciation of Russian literature. His critical work reflected a deep engagement with literary texts and a commitment to rigorous literary analysis.

Stepanov's career as a literary critic spanned much of the twentieth century, during which he influenced how literature was understood and evaluated in Soviet intellectual circles.
