Biography
Nikolai Tcherepnin was a composer, conductor and teacher whose works blended Russian folk motifs with modern harmonies and whose guidance nurtured students who would become the next wave of musicians.
He continued to write, conduct and teach in exile, offering new music to Parisian audiences and resting now at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery.
