Nikolaj Kurdjukov lived through one of the most transformative periods in Russian history, witnessing the dramatic changes that reshaped Russian society and culture. His life spanned from the final decades of the Imperial era through the early Soviet period.

Kurdjukov passed away in 1941 and was laid to rest at Vagankovo Cemetery in Moscow, a burial ground that holds many figures from Russia's complex twentieth-century history.
