Nikolay Barsukov

Biography

Nikolay Barsukov (1838–1906) was a distinguished Russian historian whose scholarly work contributed to the understanding and documentation of Russian history. His career spanned the latter nineteenth century, a period of significant historical consciousness and archival development in Russia.

Barsukov's historical scholarship helped preserve and interpret important aspects of the Russian past for subsequent generations. His burial at Smolenskoye Orthodox Cemetery reflects the respect accorded to his intellectual contributions to Russian historical studies.
