Nils Johan Björsell

Biography

Nils Johan Björsell was a pioneering Swedish photographer who documented his era through the innovative medium of photography. Active during the latter nineteenth century, he helped establish photography as an important artistic and documentary practice in Sweden.

Björsell's photographic work captured moments and subjects with technical skill and artistic vision. He was interred at cimetière du Nord de Solna, honoring his pioneering contributions to Swedish photography.
