Biography

Nina Salaman was a celebrated translator, poet, and advocate of Jewish literary heritage, whose English renderings of Hebrew poetry opened new avenues of appreciation for readers in Britain. She tirelessly promoted cultural understanding through her writings and her involvement with literary societies, encouraging respect for the richness of Jewish faith and life.

Her influence endured through the friendships she formed and the words she bestowed upon future generations, and she rests in Willesden Jewish Cemetery, where her contributions to literature and to the Jewish community continue to be honoured.
