Biography

Norbert Alfons Kumelski (1801–1853) was a Polish writer who lived during a pivotal era of Polish literature and national consciousness. His literary endeavors reflected the intellectual currents of his time, contributing to the body of Polish written culture during the period of partition.

Kumelski's contributions to Polish letters were recognized within Warsaw's intellectual circles. He was buried at Powązki Cemetery, where many of Poland's notable writers and cultural figures found their final rest.
