Biography
Norbert Burgmüller (1810–1836) was a German composer whose musical talents emerged during the Romantic period. Though his life was tragically brief, his compositions demonstrated considerable promise and reflected the musical innovations characteristic of his era. His work contributed to the rich musical heritage of nineteenth-century Germany.
Burgmüller's untimely death at age twenty-six cut short a promising musical career. He was interred in Düsseldorf North Cemetery, where his memory is preserved as a talented musician of the Romantic age.
