Nordahl Mabire

Biography

Nordahl Mabire honored the long lines of Normandy shipwrights by shaping the vessels that still sail along the coast. He approached every hull with care and attention, proving that a steady heart and skilled hands could carry both cargo and community hopes across tides.

Beyond the workshop he was known for encouraging young apprentices and for the friendships he forged in Éculleville, where his memory remains rooted at the cimetière d'Éculleville.
