Norman E. Mack (1856-1932) guided the Buffalo Evening News through decades of change, bringing a steady editorial hand and a belief in the power of an informed citizenry. He used the pages he oversaw to highlight civic improvements, champion charities, and keep the public conversation anchored in fairness.
