Biography
Notley Young, born in 1738, was a trusted merchant and local magistrate in the mid-Atlantic region whose integrity helped sustain civic life before and after the Revolution.
He promoted fair commerce across the Potomac and took an active role in community affairs, leaving behind a reputation for fairness as he was laid to rest at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery.
