Biography
Ödön Gábor Pogány was a distinguished Hungarian art historian whose scholarly work advanced the study and appreciation of art history in Hungary. Born in 1916, he brought rigorous analysis and deep knowledge to his examination of artistic traditions and movements.
Pogány's contributions to art historical scholarship established him as a respected voice in Hungarian cultural studies. He remained active in his field throughout his long life, passing away in 1998 at the age of 82. He was laid to rest at Farkasréti Cemetery in Budapest.
