Biography

Ole Bang was a physician whose careful attention to training and patient care helped to modernize medicine in Denmark. Serving in hospitals that served the public, he emphasized the importance of observation, hygiene, and compassion, qualities that inspired both colleagues and those in his care.

Bang also contributed to medical education, insisting that physicians approach their profession with both intellect and empathy. His passing left a quieter yet more humane medical community, and he now rests at Assistens Cemetery as a reminder of the healing vocation he advanced.
