Biography
Ole Vig (1824–1857) gave voice to the hopes and aspirations of his generation through poetry and cultural commentary, encouraging Norwegians to treasure their heritage and pursue a brighter future. His writings reflected a sincere love for the language and landscape of his homeland.
Though his time was brief, Vig’s eloquence and moral clarity inspired many, and his spirit is honoured among the resting places at Vår Frelsers gravlund.
