Biography
Oliver La Farge combined the talents of writer and anthropologist to portray Indigenous peoples with empathy and insight, winning the Pulitzer Prize for "Laughing Boy" and lending his voice to civil rights causes.
He used his scholarship and storytelling to champion Native American rights, to foster cross-cultural understanding, and to nurture a respect for the resilience of communities that had long been overlooked.
