Biography
Oliver Sain, born in 1932, fused jazz, R&B, and soul as a saxophonist, bandleader, and producer, helping to define the St. Louis sound with dynamic performances and a string of regional hits.
He mentored younger artists, ran his own recording studio, and remained devoted to the community that had supported his career before his 2003 death and burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
