Biography

Olivier Hourcade was a poet whose literary talents contributed to French cultural expression in the early twentieth century. His work reflected the sensibilities and concerns of his generation.

Hourcade died in 1914, at the beginning of the First World War, and was laid to rest in Craonnelle National Cemetery. His passing marked the loss of a creative voice, joining many other artists and writers whose potential was cut short by the conflict.
