Biography
Oluf de Fine Skibsted was a naval officer whose steady command and knowledge of the sea strengthened Denmark's maritime traditions. He guided crews with calm authority and ensured that duty was carried out with both skill and integrity.
When he passed in 1891, friends and fellow sailors commemorated him at Holmen Cemetery, where his service continues to inspire those who guard the coasts he loved.
