Biography

Orson W. Bennett was a quietly steadfast presence in his community whose lifetime spanned the turbulent middle decades of the nineteenth century and the dawn of the twentieth. Though many details of his personal life are not widely recorded, he was known to friends and neighbors as a man of steady resolve and sincerity.

He settled finally near Westminster Cemetery, where his memory rests alongside those who knew him best; today he is honored simply for the dignity with which he lived.
