Biography

Oskar Opočenský (1848–1938) was a Czech Protestant parson who dedicated his life to religious ministry and pastoral care. Serving as a clergyman during a period of religious and social change in the Czech lands, he provided spiritual guidance to his congregation throughout his long career.

Opočenský's ministry spanned more than five decades, witnessing the transformation of Czech society from Austro-Hungarian rule through the establishment and development of the Czechoslovak Republic. He is remembered in the Protestant cemetery in Klášter nad Dědinou, where he was laid to rest in 1938 at an advanced age.
