Biography

Ossahinta was a leader of the Onondaga Nation who devoted his life to upholding the traditions and sovereignty of his people. His strength of character and sense of duty guided the community through a time when Indigenous voices fought to be heard and respected.

Generations honor his memory at the Onondaga Nation Old Cemetery, reflecting on the guidance he offered amid the shifting landscape of relations with neighboring communities.
