Osvald Laan guided athletes with patience and a firm belief that discipline and sportsmanship went hand in hand. He had an exceptional talent for bringing out the best in each person, helping them understand that perseverance and teamwork were the true measures of success.

Coaching was for him a chance to shape not only competitors but also citizens, instilling confidence that extended far beyond the playing field. Osvald’s influence is still celebrated by those who trained with him, and his presence remains a source of pride at Pauluse Cemetery.
