Biography

Otho R. Singleton made his mark as a Mississippi lawyer and legislator, bringing a careful intellect to debates in Congress and striving to represent the interests of his constituents in the years surrounding the Civil War.

After his long career in public service, he returned to Canton where neighbors remembered him for his devotion to the rule of law and to family, resting now in Canton City Cemetery.
