Biography

Pablo Picasso, born in 1881, was one of the most transformative artists of the twentieth century, co-founding Cubism, reinventing sculpture, and constantly challenging the boundaries of representation. His restless imagination moved through painting, ceramics, theater design, and even experimental film work, making him a rare polymath of modern art.

He spent his final years at the Château of Vauvenargues, where he found solace amid Provence’s light and remained engaged with young artists while continuing to create. His prodigious output and fearless reinvention left a permanent imprint on global culture.
