Biography

Pan Yuliang was a pioneering Chinese painter who became a significant figure in early 20th-century modernist art. Born in 1895, she studied in Paris during the 1920s and 1930s, where she developed her distinctive style blending Chinese artistic traditions with Western modernism. Her work, characterized by bold brushwork and innovative compositions, challenged conventional boundaries between Eastern and Western art forms.

Pan Yuliang's career spanned decades of artistic innovation and cultural exchange. She exhibited widely throughout Europe and maintained a deep commitment to artistic expression despite the tumultuous historical periods she witnessed.
