Panayot Panayotov (1909–1986) painted with an eye for humanity, layering color and light to reveal the dignity of everyday life and the intensity of Bulgarian landscapes.
His studios became havens for young artists seeking refinement, and his canvases remain part of national collections, while he rests now at Central Sofia Cemetery.
