Paul Brigham

Biography

Paul Brigham emerged as a steady presence in the Vermont republic, serving for many years as lieutenant governor and often acting as governor while helping shepherd the new state through its earliest trials.

He remained a guiding figure in his community until his death in 1824 and was buried at Fairview Cemetery, where generations recall his steady leadership.
