Biography
Paul P. Kanoa served the Hawaiian Kingdom as a trusted advisor, legislator, and member of the House of Nobles, defending its traditions while guiding modernization efforts in the late nineteenth century.
He balanced respect for native customs with thoughtful administration of public lands and resources, and when he died in 1895 he was interred at Kawaiahaʻo Church, a fitting tribute to his dignified leadership.
