Biography
Left-hander Paul Toth worked his way from the minors to the major leagues in the early 1960s, spending time with the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs and earning praise for his unwavering work ethic on the mound.
After his playing days he stayed close to the sport he loved, passing along his knowledge to younger pitchers and savoring the friendships that grew out of long bus rides and locker-room camaraderie.
