Biography
Paul Wagniez painted with an eye to the everyday, training in Paris and exhibiting works that captured the light on village streets and countryside paths during the early decades of the twentieth century.
His canvases combined careful draftsmanship with a poetic sense of place, giving viewers a quiet glimpse of ordinary lives while he continued to explore new palettes until his death in 1935.
