Biography
Pavel Jelen served as a parson in the Protestant faith community, dedicating his life to spiritual ministry and pastoral care. Born in 1840, he represented an earlier generation of religious leaders who ministered during the mid-to-late Austro-Hungarian period, a time of significant social and religious change.
Jelen's long pastoral career spanned decades of transformation in Central Europe. He lived until 1925, witnessing the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic. He was laid to rest in the Protestant cemetery in Strměchy, where his service to the faith community is remembered.
