Pavel Lanskoy

Biography

Pavel Lanskoy (1757–1832) was a Russian military officer whose career spanned the latter decades of the 18th century and the opening years of the 19th century. He served during a period of significant military activity and reform in the Russian Empire, contributing to the nation's defense and military development.

Lanskoy's long life witnessed the transformations of the Napoleonic era and the subsequent reshaping of European politics. As a military professional, he embodied the values of service and duty that characterized the Russian officer corps of his time. He was buried at Volkovo Cemetery, a significant burial ground in St. Petersburg where many notable figures of the era were interred.
