Pavel Urusov

Biography

Pavel Urusov (1807–1886) was a Russian figure whose life extended through much of the nineteenth century. He witnessed the major transformations of Russian society from the Napoleonic era through the reign of Alexander III, living through decades of significant historical change.

Urusov's long life spanned nearly eighty years of Russian history, and he was laid to rest in Tikhvin Cemetery. His memory is preserved among the notable figures interred in this significant Russian burial ground.
