Peleg B. Babcock

Biography

Peleg B. Babcock was born in 1813 and became part of the fabric of his community during the nineteenth century. His life, though relatively brief by modern standards, spanned a formative period in American history.

Babcock's memory is preserved at Fairview Cemetery, where he was laid to rest in 1857 at the age of 44. He remains a part of the historical record of his community and the generations that followed.
