Biography
Peleg Sprague lived a relatively brief but meaningful forty-four years, coming of age during the American Revolution and the early years of the republic. His life, though shorter than many of his contemporaries, was marked by his engagement with the community and its affairs.
Sprague's grave at Washington Cemetery preserves his memory among those who contributed to the development of their region. His life, though cut short, remains part of the collective heritage of his community.
