Pepi Lederer

Biography

Pepi Lederer, born in 1910 into a lively circle of writers and entertainers, arrived in Hollywood as its bright-eyed chronicler and observer. She carved out a place for herself in the film community, working with magazine editors and mingling with the artists who filled the studios, all while carrying the warmth of her family and the city she loved.

Though her time was brief, Pepi is remembered for her witty grace, the gently probing stories she shared, and the compassion she brought to conversations with colleagues; her memory endures among those who visit her resting place at Hollywood Forever Cemetery since her passing in 1935.
