Biography
Percy J. Delf Smith answered the call of military service at a time when a steadfast sense of duty was demanded of young Britons, and he carried that resolve through the difficult years of the First World War and beyond, serving with discipline and measured leadership in the forces.
After his active service concluded, he embraced quieter pursuits while maintaining a deep respect for the comrades he had served with; when he died in 1948 his family remembered a man of calm courage, and his remembrance is kept at Golders Green Crematorium.
