Biography
Percy Walker of Alabama was trained as a physician and brought that disciplined study of health to the practice of public life, serving his neighbors with a steady hand.
He represented Alabama in the U.S. House from 1841 to 1843, and after leaving Congress he returned to medicine while remaining a trusted presence in his community until his passing in 1880; he rests at Magnolia Cemetery.
