Peter Aaron Van Dorn

Biography

Peter Aaron Van Dorn was born in 1773 and lived through the founding and early development of the United States. He was part of the generation that witnessed the nation's establishment and its early growth during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.

Van Dorn died in 1837 at an advanced age and was laid to rest at Wintergreen Cemetery. His long life spanned a crucial period in American history, from the Revolutionary era through the early decades of the republic.
