Biography

Peter B. Lewis was a visionary business leader who guided Progressive Insurance through transformative growth while championing progressive causes in education, the arts, and public life. His philanthropic gifts supported institutions from Case Western Reserve University to the Cleveland Orchestra, reflecting his belief in civic responsibility.

He also supported LGBTQ rights and many other causes that broadened opportunities for others, and he now rests at Mayfield Cemetery after a life of generous service.
