Peter Matthews

Biography

Peter Matthews was a farmer who worked the land in the Toronto area during the early 19th century. His agricultural pursuits were representative of the rural economy that sustained the developing colony.

Matthews' life was rooted in the soil and seasons of Upper Canada, contributing to the agricultural foundation of the region. He was interred at the Toronto Necropolis.
