Biography

Peter Nicolai Arbo (1768-1827) was a diligent businessperson whose ventures in trade and timber helped sustain Danish commerce during a turbulent economic era. He combined enterprise with a regard for social responsibility, keeping partnerships grounded in fairness and mutual respect.

Arbo also supported church work at Hammer Church and contributed to charitable foundations, seeing wealth as a means to fortify community life. His burial there recalls a mercantile pioneer who never lost sight of the needs of those around him.
