Peter Stewart lived a life defined by quiet resilience and a deep love for his family, standing as a steadfast presence in the face of the twentieth century's challenges. His friends admired his gentle humility and the thoughtful care he gave to every task and person.

When he passed in 1914 he was laid to rest at Cypress Hills National Cemetery, where visitors still reflect on the dignity of his life and the loyalty he showed to all who knew him.
