Petko Momchilov

Biography
Petko Momchilov (1864-1923) contributed to the architectural character of the burgeoning Bulgarian capital, designing buildings that blended European influences with national sensibilities. He believed that public and private spaces could reflect the dignity of the people and the bright future of their country.
Through the houses, schools, and civic structures he helped to create, his influence is still part of Sofia's streetscape, and his final home is in Central Sofia Cemetery.
