Biography
Born in 1896 in Veliko Tarnovo, Petko Staynov immersed himself in music at an early age, later refining his craftsmanship at the Leipzig Conservatory where he deepened his understanding of composition and piano before returning to Bulgaria with a renewed commitment to national art.
His choral, symphonic, and chamber works, as well as his leadership roles at the State Academy of Music and the Union of Bulgarian Composers, helped shape the direction of Bulgarian classical music and inspired generations of performers and composers.
