Biography

Philadelphia Dyke (1760–1808) was a woman who lived during the late Georgian period, a time of considerable social and cultural change in England. Her life, though brief by modern standards, was lived with the dignity and grace expected of her station.

Philadelphia was laid to rest at Church of St Mary in East Molesey, Surrey, where she had maintained her connections and community ties. Her memory was preserved in the records of this historic parish church.
