Philo Orton

Biography

Philo Orton lived a full life spanning nearly eight decades in the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Born in 1778, he witnessed the early years of the American republic and the transformations of his era.

Mr. Orton passed away in 1856 at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy in his community. He was laid to rest at West Main Street Cemetery, where his memory continues to be honored.
