Pierre Girodon

Biography

Pierre Girodon, born in 1869, was among the officers and soldiers who defended France as war erupted, leading with calm resolve in the face of hard fighting and sharing the burdens of the trenches with wounded men.

He now lies at Rancourt National Cemetery, where the fields recall the battles he faced and the comrades with whom he stood.
